I just got a mid wheel drive chair (ROVI X3) a week ago. Like you, I've always had rear drive and the turning radius is amazing! My previous chair needed 32 inches to turn, this one needs 20. I work in an office and have to turn a dozen or more times a day to get things off a shelf behind me, and my life is a whole lot easier. Elevating seat means I don't have to call for help when I need something from the top shelf. On my lunch break I can sit outside in the sun and recline with my feet up and relax. I gotta say, you look so much more secure than I do driving the mid wheel drive. It's a learning curve for sure. In winter I go to work when it's still dark and I can't wait to try the headlights in the dark. Yeah, it's a bit harder to get under tables at home but I have sat at the high tables at a local restaurant for the first time last Monday. The outdoor patio only has high tables so it was a first for me and the weather was gorgeous. My ROVI has shorter armrests so the controller (the same one as yours) is way way closer to me. I bet Permobil has shorter armrests available that would put the controller in better reach for you.

Have you tried punch needle? Im about to buy some stuff so i can try it out. Been hard finding a new hobby after getting md. Hope i would like punch needleing :)

You should do an update on this on a 9am tram in the middle of Edinburgh. I love the level access, apparently the commuters love to stand in the entrances, heads in their phones, pretending they don't see you.

Hi Emma,does this chair have a totally flat seat as I can't sit in a chair with a tilting seatdue to spine issues.

Isn't it amazing how greatly they've managed to build / convert those museums to be almost completely wheelchair accessible. I bet the original builders didn't even know what accessible means 😉The same applies, of course, to all other "new" museums as well.

Hi! May I ask you the brand and model of your motorized wheelchair ?

WOW, what an absolutely adorable young lady! And the accent makes her even more cute. We Americans are always fascinated by the British, Irish and Scotch folks when we get a chance to meet and visit. I came here looking for reviews on the M300 Permobile. I'm picking mine up tomorrow. The seat that raises is really going to help me at the grocery store. So often, I can't reach items on the upper shelves and I have to wait for a willing fellow shopper to help me out. I'm going to like this chair. I also need to raise my legs because of severe edema. Allan, please give Miss Emma a big hug and tell her it's from the United States.

Also your fan from Africa, Kenya 🇰🇪 who is also wheelchair bound. We need more of this vlogs.

That was a great video, it looks a great place to stay for someone in a wheelchair. It's a bit too far from me as I live in the very south of England, I'll have to see if there is one near me. Also just an observation not a criticism, I noticed that the writing on people's t shirts was backwards so it seems like the video is mirrored, if that's deliberate then fair enough, I just thought I'd point it out.

I find myself in the same situation now. I have to move, my landlord of 12 years is selling the property AFTER I've done all the adaptions. New wetroom, level access all around. redid the entire garden with ramps and raised beds... Now he wants to sell. We all know that a 2 bedroom bungalow in the middle of a seaside town is going to skyrocket in price now that its adapted. HE will make 100k profit on the adaptions I'VE done and that whoever buys this bungalow will want to move into it. I'm out on my ear with social housing to look forward to. again we all know how that works.. 1 bedroom box with no ramps / shower / access / garden.. oh and you have to be over 55 to even be considered for a bungalow in most regions. I need to try buy the house I'm in, but with no income aside from my disability and instantly losing any housing benefits i would get, who can afford it... Unless I crowdfund to buy this place. I'm screwed. I dealt with being in a wheelchair. I dealt with the death of my partner of 22 years in the middle of my cancer chemo and covid, again. I dealt with that.. I'm a 'shit happens' kind of person.. THIS HOWEVER has got me beat. I'm cooked, done.. toasted and roasted. Wall has been kicked, although not quite run into yet. All I need is a place to live and a society of builders that gives a damn about those in wheelchairs.. A step to far to ask I guess.

I live only 20 minutes from this hotel but im definitely going to give it a try. Facilities look fantastic, so they should and its about time. Do know of any London hotels with similar hoist?

Try lifting the arms up to fit under tables. The control lifts up as well, of course.

Thank you for this review, Emma. Did you get this one at the end? My husband has a middle drive and I always drive a rear-drive power wheelchair. The one thing that puts me off to switching to the middle drive is when going through a threshold, or even at the end of the ramp going up on the train, it gives a feeling like throwing you forward, which I find it little bit dangerous with the way I sit on a wheelchair. Do you have a similar experience? Both my husband and I do have that experience but for him is ok because he sits quite back on the wheelchair, leaning on the backrest, and my sitting is quite upright.

Hi! Thanks for the video. I'm getting my M3 in week or two. Someone said that the F3 has better suspension (4 shocks), but i rather chose M3 because its better maneuverability and cornering (or at least i think so).

This looks like the newer version of my invacare bora the bora has been a good chair but it is sooooo bumpy by the looks of the videos they seem to of added more/better suspension I would love to try one just see what it’s like compared to my bora

I have the full option M3 in red……..love it to go shopping and driving at elevation mode…….reaching out myself for stuff with the tilting in front option……just don’t like the very long metal footrests…….know it also has a remote tv function included :-)….take care
